I signed up to climb Pen y Fan for charity. That sounds very straightforward when you say it quickly. What I perhaps failed to consider was that I don't really do walking. I definitely don't do hiking. And I was going to turn up to an event where I knew absolutely nobody. So, naturally, I was absolutely terrified. I'll be joining the Forces Wives Challenge to climb Pen y Fan, the highest mountain in South Wales. The Forces Wives Challenge brings together women whose partners are serving members of the Armed Forces or veterans, creating opportunities to challenge themselves, build confidence and support one another through adventure.

Today, we pause to mark the anniversary of Victory in Europe Day. A moment in history that reminds us of the courage, sacrifice, and resilience shown by so many during World War II.
