Today, we pause to mark the anniversary of Victory in Europe Day. A moment in history that reminds us of the courage, sacrifice, and resilience shown by so many during World War II.
At 12 noon, a two minute silence will be observed and our phone lines will be turned off as we join the nation in remembrance of those who served, those who sacrificed, and the communities who stood together through difficult times.
VE Day is not only a reflection on the past, but also a reminder of the strength found in unity, compassion, and community spirit. Values that continue to resonate today.
We will remember them.
